Fortune delight at Blades bow

The 29-year-old signed a short-term deal with the Blades in September after proving his fitness having ruptured his Achilles while at Charlton last season. It has been a long and hard road to recovery for Fortune but, with United themselves struck down by a host of injury problems, he walked out against Barnsley at Oakwell for his first start in over nine months."I am really pleased to get my debut out of the way. I have had to wait a while and it is a great feeling to be finally fit and ready," he told the club's official website."When I signed I knew the strength we already had in that position and they (Chris Morgan and Matthew Kilgallon) are two of the best defenders in the league."I just want to play games and it is a bit of a dream to have had the chance to get back out there and play again."
