Fox keen to keep his starting place

Fox, making just his third start under Boothroyd, set-up two goals in the FA Cup thrashing and is now hoping to retain his place in the team."It's up to the manager to give me a chance and once he does, I've got to take it," he said. "I don't know if it was enough to get a game next week but hopefully I've put something in his mind and it's healthy competition."He pulled me aside and explained the situation and that was it - he's the manager and he makes the decisions and there's not a lot I can do about that."The manager has some decisions to make but not just with me but also with Simon Hackney and Phil Ifil, who have both come in after not playing a lot of football."We've made it difficult for him but he's a manager who has been at the top level so I'm sure he'll relish it."
