Dons striker keen to grasp chance

Baldock scored 13 times under Roberto Di Matteo last season but thanks to a combination of injury, England Under-20 World Cup duty and the form of Jermaine Easter, has struggled to make an impact this term. But with Easter expected to be called up for Wales next week, Baldock may get his chance. He said: "Jermaine has scored 10 goals now so I knew that I was going to have to be patient when I came back."Every time I get on the pitch or even on the training field I try my hardest to deliver and just hope to be given a bit of game time."There is more competition this season all around the pitch. I don't think anyone can rest on their laurels as we've got such a big squad that everyone is keeping each other on our toes which is good."
