Raging Roy's temper tantrums stop Keane taking part in Ipswich training

Ipswich boss Roy Keane has revealed he no longer takes part in training games -  because of fears how he might react. Keane was renowned for his fiery temper during a glittering career with Nottingham Forest, Manchester United and the Republic of Ireland. But despite his team propping up the Championship with just one win in 15  league games, he was in light-hearted mood as he made the revelation during an  unexpected appearance at the supporters' club annual general meeting. When I was at Sunderland I  was on the losing side and didn't speak to anyone for two days. 'I have made a conscious decision to step back and not get involved.' The Tractor Boys' boss mounted a major charm offensive when he turned out at the meeting, which was attended by just 80 fans. He dismissed claims that the club training ground was out of bounds to supporters, adding: 'Anybody in this room can come along tomorrow. We have nothing to hide.' Keane stunned the audience, not only by his presence but his willingness to answer questions and afterwards chat with fans, sign autographs and pose for pictures. Chief executive Simon Clegg explained why Keane's plan to attend was kept under  wraps. He said: 'Purposely we didn't advertise it so we got the right people, the people who came along for the right reasons.' Ipswich 1 Derby 0: Delighted Keane hails end of 'unacceptable' runIpswich boss Keane set to make fresh bid for Wednesday defender WoodIpswich pull the plug on ex-England caretaker Peter Taylor deal  Explore more:People:Paul McKenna, Simon Clegg, Roy KeanePlaces:Republic of Ireland
