The Trotters are one of only two clubs in the top flight to record an increase season on season - posting an eight per cent rise.The figures were announced by parent company Burnden Leisure plc in the financial year ending June 2009.The rise in attendances to watch Gary Megson's side helped football operations also generate an increased turnover of three per cent to £51.8million.But the Burnden Leisure Group recorded a loss of £13.2million overall, compared with a loss of £8.1million the previous year.Chief executive Allan Duckworth said: "Despite the difficult economic conditions and the challenges that brings our objectives remain clear and focused."Over the past year we have continued to invest across the business to improve competitiveness and prepare for recovery."
