Bolton boast improved crowds

Bolton saw their average attendances show an 8% increase last season. They are one of only two clubs in the Premier League to record an increase season on season. The figures were announced by parent company Burnden Leisure plc in the financial year ending June 2009. Football operations generated a turnover of £51.8million, an increase of 3%. Overall the Burnden Leisure Group recorded a loss of £13.2million, compared with a loss of £8.1million the previous year. Chief executive Allan Duckworth said: "Despite the difficult economic conditions and the challenges that brings our objectives remain clear and focused. "Over the past year we have continued to invest across the business to improve competitiveness and prepare for recovery."
