Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce rues the goal that got away after offside error robs Kalinic

Sam Allardyce didn't go so far as to say the wrong team had won, but the Blackburn boss was still livid that his side had a perfectly good goal ruled out in the 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford.Allardyce was devastated when substitute Nikola Kalinic struck with four minutes to go only for the linesman's flag to deny the Serb striker a first Premier League goal.Touchline fury: Allardyce was angry a perfectly good goal was ruled out 'It's so far onside it's unbelievable,' moaned Allardyce. 'It's not even a close one. Kalinic isn't even level when Benni McCarthy gets his shot away. He's behind the United defender.'How the assistant got that wrong I will never know. I'm not saying it would have changed the game but, with four minutes still to go, you never know. It may have made United edgy.'The goals that did count were scored by Dimitar Berbatov and Wayne Rooney. And United's Bulgarian striker was delighted with the outcome. 'As long as we keep on winning I think everyone will be happy,' he said.'In the first half I had a couple of chances to score you need to be patient and when another chance comes, you need to be there to take it. It is always difficult playing against Blackburn.'The win kept United within two points of Chelsea at the top of the Premier Leaguetable and Allardyce had no doubt that the right team had won.'They were always in control and showed lots of class,' he said. 'We defended very well, very well indeed and limited Manchester United to not too many clearcut chances.'The goals they scored were superb finishes from worldclass players. My only disappointment is that we didn't challenge United in their goal enough because we know they have been a bit shaky against us in the past.'Alex Ferguson had some sympathy for his French substitute Gabriel Obertan, who squandered two great chances. 'Gabriel was a bit nervous,' said the United boss. 'He's not happy with himself and that's a good thing.' BLACKBURN ROVERS
