Tevez told to improve English

// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Pablo Zabaleta has told Manchester City team-mate Carlos Tevez he needs to take English lessons. Tevez moved to the Premier League with West Ham in 2006 and he quickly adjusted to the demands of playing in a different country.Having enjoyed success with Manchester United and made a bright start to his Eastlands career, there are few worries about his ability to perform on the pitch. However, he reportedly still struggles with the language and Argentine compatriot Zabaleta believes he should try to improve."It is important. I get English lessons once a week so my language is getting better. I try, I try," Zabaleta, who joined City from Espanyol just over 12 months ago, told The Sun."I didn't speak English before I got here but I got lessons. I have told Carlos he needs to come to me for lessons. "He sometimes does try to speak English. But it is important to learn because we need to speak with team-mates and managers and everyone. "Plus we are living in England for the future."Zabaleta went on to praise Tevez's form during the early part of the season, adding: "People are happy with Carlos because he always gives 100 per cent. "He is playing really well and he is very important for Manchester City."Richards rivalryZabaleta has found it more difficult to hold onto a place in the City side after a number of defensive reinforcements arrived over the summer. The 24-year-old would appear to be in direct competition for the right-back berth with Micah Richards, a player he admires greatly.Zabaleta is nevertheless determined to stay in the side after returning from suspension in the Carling Cup victory over Scunthorpe."Micah is a fantastic player and defensively he is so strong. He is only 21 and he has a fantastic future but it is normal that all players want to play in the first XI so any chance is important," said Zabaleta. "A lot of players are fighting for a place in the starting XI and that is important because it is good for the squad."
