Armfield statue for Seasiders
The Blackpool Supporters Association have set about raising £100,000 needed to complete the statue.It is the latest in a long line of honours for Armfield - following on from the renaming of the South Stand and an OBE - but he remained modest, telling the Blackpool Gazette: "I feel quite humble about it and, I must be honest. I will be very proud to see it, as I am with the stand, as Blackpool is my team and my town."It is nice to think anything I have done has been appreciated, all people think like that."
