Defender banned for North End clash

The left-back picked up his fifth booking of the season during last weekend's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest and serves a one-match ban, so youngster Lee Hills could be handed a rare start.Freddie Sears limped off last week with a groin strain but has responded well to treatment and Palace have not yet ruled out the on-loan West Ham striker.Stern John, who has made three substitute appearances since suffering a dislocated elbow on the opening day of the season, or Victor Moses will come in if Sears does miss out.Another forward, Calvin Andrew, is still missing after knee surgery but he is back in training and played in a practice match this week.
