Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti demands improvement away from home

The Chelsea manager saw his side extend their perfect Stamford Bridge record to nine games, with 25 goals scored and one conceded, in Wednesday night's 4-0 Carling Cup win over Bolton. They are also one win, including last season, from equalling the club's longest sequence of home wins - 11, set in 2006. But the Premier League leaders have lost their last two away games in the competition, at Wigan and Aston Villa, and face Bolton again, this time at the Reebok Stadium. After 13 goals in their last three home games, in three different competitions, Chelsea have sent out a message that they mean business on all fronts, and Ancelotti said: 'It's an impressive (tally), but for us the first thing is to play well and to win a game. 'It happens we've won with large results, but that's not so important. Rather, we want to win the games. "We played the last three games very well, and Saturday can be another kind of match. We have to be ready to play a different match, it will be a different game on Saturday, but we're ready to play a different game.' The Italian, though, was delighted that Wednesday night's game confirmed the return to form of Joe Cole, while Alex and Paulo Ferreira were also back after injuries. 'I think this is a very good moment for us,' Ancelotti said. 'Above all, because the players who returned after injury came back very well. 'Joe Cole came back in the Blackburn game last match and did very well. Alex and Ferreira did a very intelligent match against Bolton, so it's a very good moment. We have to continue and maintain this atmosphere. Meanwhile, Ancelotti has confirmed that goalkeeper Henrique Hilario, who suffered concussion when he fell awkwardly, will today undergo a scan, adding: 'We are awaiting a scan on Hilario. We're hoping he'll be better in the next few days.'
