Macc boss laments drawing Dons

Alexander had been hoping to be drawn against a non-league outfit which would have given the Silkmen more chance of progressing. He admits the draw could not have been much tougher but is still hopeful of pulling off a shock. "Well there's no point hiding our disappointment," Alexander told the official club website. "With no disrespect to MK Dons, it's a poor draw for us. "First up you are looking for a home tie and then ideally against a non-league side. So to get drawn away to the fourth placed side in League One is far from ideal. But what's done is done. We can't change the draw so we just have to go down there and do our best. "We know the FA Cup has a tendency of throwing up shocks, so there's no reason why we can't cause a little one. We're on a good run ourselves so we'll travel there in confident mood."
