Bessone eyes regular Swans place

The Argentinean, 25, joined the Swans last summer from Espanyol B and has set his sights on a regular first-team berth."I would love to be the first-choice left-back," he told the South Wales Evening Post. "But we have a big squad with very good players who want the same."We have to be at the top of our game when we get a chance because the other guys can come in and play instead."Bessone, who has made five appearances this season, admits he is only now showing his potential after the original culture shock of playing in the Championship."Last season was very difficult," he said. "I played in the Spanish Second Division before but it is a different kind of football. Here, it is very hard. There's a big focus on set-pieces and teams play a lot of long ball."
