Juande Ramos was interested in signing Arshavin from Zenit St Petersburg but Spurs could not agree a fee with the Russian club. The playmaker eventually sealed a move to Arsenal in the winter transfer window after a difficult last few months in St Petersburg. But he admits he would have considered a switch to White Hart Lane if Zenit had accepted an offer from Tottenham."I was not against a move to Tottenham. If it was down to just me to reach an agreement, the move could have taken place," he explained in the Daily Mail."It could have been so different if Tottenham had been able to agree a fee with Zenit."Arshavin has quickly established himself as one of the Premier League's finest players with some sparkling performances over the past nine months. However, away from the pitch he concedes it has been hard to adjust to English life."On one hand I love it here," he said. "On the other, I haven't said anything about the difficulties. "In Spain, for example, everything seems easier. England is different from many European countries in terms of lifestyle and mentality."
