// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Jimmy Bullard has declared himself fit to start against Portsmouth at the KC Stadium on Saturday. The midfielder returned from a nine-month lay-off with a knee injury as a second-half substitute against former club Fulham on Monday. However fears that the 31-year-old had suffered a relapse surfaced when it was revealed that Bullard had sat out of training on Thursday.Tigers boss Phil Brown explained that the former Wigan man's absence was to give him a well deserved rest and Bullard is determined to prove to his manager that he is ready for his first start since Boxing Day last year."I'm ready," he told the Daily Mail. "I feel good and I've made myself available so we'll see who the gaffer picks for the first XI."I'm ready for 90 minutes otherwise I wouldn't have made myself available. I've been waiting for my first start for a long time and especially with it being a home game too, I can't wait."I just want to get out there and show people what I can do and help the team."
