Arsenal striker Andrei Arshavin could have joined Tottenham

Arshavin, who joined Arsenal from Zenit St Petersburg, held talks with then-manager Juande Ramos at White Hart Lane but subsequently sealed a £15 million move to north London. He said: "I was not against a move to Tottenham. I think my current club are the second most entertaining in modern football. It was well worth it. "The most beautiful football isn't here, but at Barcelona. But after them, perhaps Arsenal."Arshavin also spoke of his struggle to adapt to living in London. "On one hand I love it here," he said. "On the other, I haven't said anything about the difficulties."Last week, Arshavin told The Daily Telegraph that he was still getting used to life with his family in London. He said: "For my family, life is good here. Of course, my wife likes it here because in London the shopping is the best."
