Eight games in – but no margin of error for Liverpool FC

IT seems strange saying there is no margin for error when you are only eight games into a season but that is the situation now facing Liverpool.Premier League action resumes today after a two-week break and the trip to Sunderland is one that can most definitely be described as problematic.Steve Bruce has done a fantastic job and will be fancying his chances.Sunderland have got some very good players and I like their front two of Darren Bent and Kenwyne Jones, while Andy Reid has responded to his problems with the Republic of Ireland in fine style. But our need to get three points outweighs Sunderland's and we have put ourselves in a position where nothing other than a victory will do - that's what happens when you find yourself under pressure. The task has been made more difficult by having to do without Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres after they picked up injuries on international duty.Thankfully, it's nothing serious and hopefully they will both be back for Tuesday night's Champions League clash with Lyon.
