Mariappa eyes return to form

Stand-in Watford skipper Adrian Mariappa says he and his team-mates are determined to get back to winning ways - starting at Middlesbrough on Saturday. The Hornets were on the verge of the top six until successive defeats to Coventry and Cardiff sent them tumbling down the table. But Mariappa insists morale in the camp remains high and said: "We've had a couple of bad results but we are eager to put those right. "Saturday is a big game for us, we'll be underdogs which I think will work in our favour and I think we can go up there and get a result." Mariappa is set to lead the side out again at The Riverside with Jay DeMerit still missing with an eye problem.
