Brum boosted by Jerome fitness

Franck Queudrue has joined David Murphy, Stuart Parnaby, Martin Taylor and Gregory Vignal in the treatment room and all will miss Saturday's trip to Arsenal. The Frenchman aggravated a hamstring injury in the 2-1 defeat at Burnley two weeks ago after being rushed back to replace Vignal.Left-back has been a problem position for manager Alex McLeish, with three options now out of the equation in Murphy, Vignal and Queudrue."We see Franck more in a centre-back role now as opposed to left-back but in an emergency, such as in the Burnley game, he came in for us," McLeish told the club's official website."Franck's got a big heart and pushed himself the week of the Burnley game. With Vignal getting injured we had to start him and by half-time his hamstring was feeling tight again."It was three weeks between picking up his injury and coming back for the Burnley game, which did seem a quick recovery."It's probably caught up with him a wee bit, which has resulted in him not being available. He may be back in a week or two."Keith Fahey is doubtful after also picking up a problem against Burnley. So too is Teemu Tainio after being ruled out of Finland's final World Cup qualifier on Wednesday with a knee injury.Striker Christian Benitez and defender Giovanny Espinoza both appeared for Ecuador and will be assessed once they meet up with the squad in London. But striker Jerome is set to return to the starting line-up after two months out with an ankle injury."There's good news on Cameron. He's at a good level," McLeish added."He's trained very well this week and rather than give him a game in the Senior Cup (against Solihull on Tuesday) we decided to just give him a good week of training and working on his sharpness. He's looking strong and powerful."He'll be in consideration for the weekend - and he needs to be because Christian Benitez has been away playing two games."He and Espinoza fly back to London and they will go right to the hotel on Friday afternoon."But I don't think he'll be in a fit state to start so we well consider him for the bench."
