No Spurs move for James

Tottenham's chances of landing Portsmouth goalkeeper David James in the January transfer window have been dealt a blow by the south coast club. The England shot-stopper is understood to be a target for Spurs, who made enquiries about James, 39, during the summer. But Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie maintains James is not for sale. "It`s a load of rubbish, it really is," said Storrie. "David is under contract and it will be staying that way. He's happy and we are happy - David's going absolutely nowhere. "We don't need to sell him and we have no interest in doing so. People should ignore these rumours, that's all they are."
