Pompey reach Bhasera deadlock

Paul Hart had been hoping to have the Zimbabwean full-back on board by now, as the African ace has been training with the club for the past three months.However, the 23-year-old remains in a contractual conflict with his South African employers Kaiser Chiefs.The Chiefs are demanding a fee for a player they insist remains on their books, while Pompey are hoping to bring Bhasera in on a free.Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie admits negotiations have reached a stalemate and he is uncertain as to whether a compromise can be reached."Onismor has a dispute with Kaiser Chiefs," he said."As far as he is concerned the contract has expired but Kaiser Chiefs say there is an optional year in the contract."There are no figures in it, which would be null and void in this country."
