Iwelumo 'buzzing' over comeback

The 31-year-old Scotland international spent the end of last season on the sidelines after damaging his knee against Birmingham in April.Iwelumo then managed to break his foot in Wolves' pre-season tour of Western Australian, further increasing his frustration. The former Charlton and Colchester ace admits it was a struggle overcoming the injuries, although he is delighted to be back on the pitch."I am buzzing and delighted to have secured my first full 90 minutes after what has been a long six months out of the game," he told the Birmingham Mail."That is the longest spell of my career out through injury since I first started playing football as a wee boy."Obviously the legs are a bit tired but I knew they would be. I am just delighted to get those 90 minutes under my belt."Iwelumo was also pleased to see team-mates Michael Kightly and strike partner Sylvan Ebanks-Blake feature in Wednesday's game after their injury woes.Iwelumo continued: "It was great to see Kights and Sylvan back and it was great that they linked up together for Kights' goal."Between us we scored more than 50 league goals last season so it is great to be playing alongside one another again and hopefully we have given the manager a nice selection headache for the trip to Everton in a week or two's time."
