Sampson praises in-form Gilligan

Gilligan, 22, is the Cobblers' longest-serving player having made more than 140 appearances since being signed by former manager Colin Calderwood in 2005 and has been in solid form since Sampson took charge last month.Sampson said: "He's had a good start to the season and he has been one of our better players so it's disappointing that he is missing out this weekend through suspension."He is showing more maturity on the pitch than he has in the past and he is a decent player."I think he can play at a higher level and he will have a good future ahead of him if he keeps progressing."
