The Frenchman was blighted by a number of fitness problems during his time with the Red Devils before he left for Goodison Park in 2008.Saha has now confessed that he suffered with psychological self-doubt when dealing with his injuries at United. He said in L'Equipe: "Today, when I think about that period, I laugh. But it is true that at that time I was depressed."In the eyes of my United team-mates and fans, I felt there was some worry each time I came back from injury."They were scared I would suffer a relapse, so I worried more."Difficult decisionBut Saha insists that making up his mind to leave United, who he joined from Fulham in 2004, was still a difficult choice."It was very, very difficult to leave United," he added. "I thought about it a lot because I didn't want to make any mistake with the choice of my new club."However, Saha has no regrets about joining Everton and claims his relationship with his new team-mates takes priority over the seven goals he has scored in all competitions this season."Frankly, I don't care about the goals," he said. "What I enjoy is the training with the other players and having the same feelings as my team-mates and I don't ask myself if I will experience a new injury."Before, I had the feeling that I was different from the others. It is not the case anymore."Still being on the pitch after so many injuries proves I am mentally strong. I am one of the miraculously saved players."
