Bolton 2 Tottenham 2: Home alone Harry is staying put at Spurs

Harry Redknapp might be staying at Tottenham but few of his players have done likewise during the international break. Only two remain, which should make for some interesting training sessions this week. 'Unbelievable, innit?' said 'Arry with a shake of the head. 'I'm going to play them one against one, two hours a day, until they're f*****!' Redknapp wasn't the only one on form at the Reebok, where Fabio Capello dropped in en route to Old Trafford. No doubt the England manager hoped to see Jermain Defoe playing upfront alongside Peter Crouch for Tottenham, although Capello was probably heading for the exit by the time Redknapp summoned Defoe offthe bench after nearly 70 minutes. Instead, he was able to witness outstanding performances from Bolton's Gary Cahill and Kevin Davies -two players who have appeared on Redknapp's radar in the transfer market. Capello has called up Cahill twice already this year. 'I think he looks a real potential England centre half,' said Redknapp.  'I was interested a little while ago. I think he had a buy-out clause.' Megson admits he was shocked to discover the £8million clause that disappeared under the terms of the new deal Cahill signed in the summer, with £20m now the going rate. Cahill, 23, continues to impress and his only mistake on Saturday was to lose his bearings momentarily when Crouch headed into the path of Niko Kranjcar, who rifled home to cancel out Ricardo Gardner's early opener. Crouch said: 'I played with Gary when he was a kid at Villa and if he bides his time he is good enough to be part of the England set-up for a long time.' Time has probably run out for Davies, 32. Redknapp questioned whether he is 'fashionable' enough for England. Certainly neither Carlo Cudicini nor Benoit Assou-Ekotto fancied getting in the way when Davies charged in to restore Bolton's lead. Vedran Corluka's header earned a draw that still leaves Spurs waiting for their first League win at the Reebok. That Tamir Cohen, a £37,000 buy from Israeli football, and unknown South Korean Chung- Yong Lee set up Davies' goal says everything about the limitations Megson has to work under. So, like Newcastle, had he watched Chung-Yong in action on YouTube? 'No,' Megson said with a smile. 'We did it properly and Googled him!'
