Carlo - I can cope

The Blues suffered their first defeat under the Italian's stewardship at Wigan last Saturday and then registered an unconvincing 1-0 UEFA Champions League triumph over Apoel Nicosia in midweek. These performances have attracted some criticism but Ancelotti says it is nothing like he experienced in Italy. He claims the 14 years he spent at Reggiana, Parma, Juventus and AC Milan have taught him to take any negativity in his stride. He said: "I'm not surprised by the reaction after losing one game because it is the same in Italy."It's important the atmosphere around the team is good. This reaction isn't a problem.More pressure"In Italy there is much more pressure on the coach. In England it's much easier to control the pressure."Losing one game in 10 is not pressure. In Italy it's different because it's not just the media who apply pressure, but the club and fans too."I can't ignore pressure here. The criticism is right at the moment. You can improve from it and learn. Sometimes the criticism is right."It's important that if your team doesn't play well to maintain control and solve the problem."During the season there can be one or two matches where the team doesn't play well."This is normal. It's impossible to play every match at your best."Drogba hailedStriker Didier Drogba has scored six goals in eight matches this season and Ancelotti insists the way he plays for the team marks him out as a world-class act."I hope Didier will continue playing like this all season. He can do that because his body is fantastic, he is very strong," he said."Also he feels very well and is enjoying the atmosphere in the team. He's a leader and I hope he stays like this for every game."He uses his quality for the team. Usually a player with greater quality will play for himself and not for the team."This is the difference between a great player and a world-class player."
