Jenas hopes train meeting with Capello will get England career back on track

Jermaine Jenas has revealed how a chance encounter with Fabio Capello has given him hope of booking a ticket to next summer's World Cup finals. Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jenas bumped into the England boss on the train while travelling to the Bobby Robson memorial service. And the 26-year-old former Newcastle United player believes the 'positive' chat has left him in with a chance of getting back into Capello's thoughts for South Africa 2010. 'I hadn’t spoken to him for a while actually,' Jenas told the Daily Mirror. 'He was all positive and all I can keep doing what I’m doing on the pitch and hopefully I’ll be in with a shout. 'It's easy to be forgotten, yes, but that is the quality of the league and the players, especially in midfield. So it is important you come back with a bang and make sure they don’t forget you. 'Who knows? There is always surprises in World Cups and if I can maintain the form I showed today throughout the season, who knows what squad he’ll be taking?'
