Cahill ready for England

// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Gary Cahill admits he believes that he is ready to play for England. The Bolton star had an excellent campaign last season, and he has continued his out-standing form this term.He has been rewarded with a call-up to Fabio Capello's England squad and is now being tipped to make it to next summer's World Cup finals in South Africa.Indeed the England boss was present at St Andrews on Saturday to take in Cahill's performance as Bolton beat Birmingham."I definitely think I can play for England one day," said Cahill. ""You have got to have that confidence in your own ability."Bolton boss Gary Megson has long been singing Cahill's praises and is fully behind his recent call-up."We knew he had ability and if he'd gone somewhere else, we would never be able to sign him now for the kind of money we paid," said Megson - who paid Aston Villa £5million for Cahill last year."As for England, Gary's got to accept that he has two world-class centre halves in front of him but if he keeps playing and doing little wrong then it won't be long before he's called up."
