Holloway not getting carried away

Jason Euell put the hosts ahead in the third minute and Hameur Bouazza added a second eight minutes later to effectively secure the points."We are in the top six but so what?" Holloway said. "It's a great position to be in (fifth) but in a marathon we have run the first hundred yards."I'm not worried about our position, more about who can play in our defence on Tuesday."If this was a first date they haven't even taken our order yet, the night might turn out to be rubbish, she might walk out on me. Who's to say what will happen?"But I am delighted with this win because I know Peterborough are a very good side and they will get stronger."They stopped us playing in midfield, they pushed forward and looked like they could score at any time."This is why I am delighted because today was a big test and we've come out the other end smiling."His opposite number Darren Ferguson, however, was scathing of his side."We committed suicide," Ferguson said. "I'm very disappointed with the result today, although I'm more disappointed about the manner of the result."I stressed how much we had to concentrate from the start but the two goals we gifted them gave us an absolute mountain to climb."Last week against Reading was good in the second half, Tuesday's performance was very good but today was a choker."This was always going to be a big test but we shot ourselves in the foot."If we go on conceding goals like that it's going to be a very long season."Blackpool's Algerian international Bouazza was keen to play down his stunning strike."Yes it was a great goal but it's a team game and I thought the team were magnificent today."They gave us lots of problems but we kept our shape and worked hard for the win."We're not thinking about our position, we just want maximum points from each game and just try and keep the run going."I'm really happy to be here, it's a good club and I just want to win more games."Blackpool could have led inside the third minute when midfielder Keith Southern fired goalwards from 20 yards and Posh goalkeeper Joe Lewis was forced into a smart stop.Seconds later, however, the opening goal came when left-back Stephen Crainey crossed dangerously and Euell rose highest to plant a firm header past Lewis from 12 yards.Peterborough sought to find an immediate response and Aaron McLean saw his shot blocked by Blackpool defender Rob Edwards.Yet Holloway's side retained the upper hand and after Brett Ormerod spurned a clear-cut opening from just six yards out, Bouazza added a second in the 11th minute.Defender Neal Eardley's throw-in found its way through the former Watford and Fulham striker and he swept the ball home left-footed from six yards.
