Dishing it out..and taking it

Sheerin- we need a miracle From the Sunday Mail:  DICK CAMPBELL has vowed to wreck Cowdenbeath’s title party next week – after putting a severe dent in Arbroath’s championship charge yesterday. Campbell’s relegation battlers grabbed a crucial derby win through a second-half strike from sub Greg Ross to leave Arbroath seven points adrift with nine to play for. Forfar are due at their gaffer’s hometown for what could be a title clincher next week and Campbell said: “We’re fighting for our lives. “We need every point we can get and that means going for a win again next week. “Cowdenbeath won’t be having a title party in my backyard.” Arbroath’s best chance came through player-boss Paul Sheerin, who had his 18-yard strike parriedby Forfar keeper Greg Paterson on 30 minutes. But Ross netted the 61st-minute winner when he drilled the ball low beyond Darren Hill from 20 yards. Arbroath tried to battle back and were denied a late penalty after an apparent handball by Kevin Byers. Sheerin admitted: “It’s going to take a miracle to win the title now. “Realistically we’re looking at the play-offs and need to build momentum for that.”
