The Spurs manager has been plagued by an injury crisis at the heart of his defence, with Dawson and Jonathan Woodgate yet to play this season.Ledley King and Sebastien Bassong both had to be substituted in Sunday's 3-0 defeat to Chelsea, although the latter's injury is not as serious as initially feared. Woodgate has suffered a setback with his groin problem but Dawson has recovered from an Achilles complaint and is set to feature at Deepdale on Wednesday."Michael is in the squad and I might look to give him an hour - that is as much as we can expect from him as he's been out for a long time," said Redknapp. "We don't want to break him down again."It's good to have him back. He is a fantastic boy and a good player."ImportantRedknapp is set to field a number of his fringe players against Preston but he is still determined to enjoy a good run in the competition, with Spurs having made it to the final in each of the last two seasons."It's important," he said. "We want to do well. Alan Irvine has done a great job there at Preston."I went there two years ago with Portsmouth when we won the FA Cup and they battered us really. David James saved us that day with a penalty save. I know it will be very difficult."I took Spurs to the final last year; I was pleased about that but we won't underestimate Preston. They could possibly come out of the division as Burnley did last year."
