Terrors set to fine Goodwillie

The 20-year-old was arrested on Sunday afternoon following a brawl in a club in Bridge of Allan hours previously. Goodwillie has been charged by the police for an assault on Reid and now faces a court date. The Scotland Under-21 star has been in trouble with the police before and was found guilty of striking someone with a glass last year. United boss Craig Levein is furious with the youngster, having given him a second chance after his last brush with the law, and could hand down the maximum punishment of docking four weeks' wages. The Tannadice players were in for training on Sunday ahead of Tuesday night's Co-Operative Cup tie with Ross County so Goodwillie was not permitted to be in the nightclub. So, while he faces possible punishment by the courts over the alleged assault, Goodwillie has also incurred the wrath of his manager for breaking the club curfew. Goodwillie, who has scored three times this season and won rave reviews for his performances, will be in the party travelling to Ross County but will not feature. "He has broken the club's internal disciplinary code and will be punished accordingly," Levein revealed. "The other stuff with regard to what's happening with the police will take care of itself. "I'd just add that I'm extremely disappointed in him. "He will be in the squad for the game against Ross County but he won't play."
