Reading 3 Blackpool 1: Royals stay second with win over play-off hopefuls

Reading kept up their charge toward automatic promotion with a well-deserved win over a Blackpool side that was always second best. Brian McDermott's team seized the initiative early on and went ahead with goals from Ian Harte and Alex Pearce before Blackpool's Lomana LuaLua scored a superb solo effort from 30 yards.On the hour Reading added a third through Mikele Leigertwood and then eased their way to a deserved win to dent Blackpool's own play-off hopes.
