Coach wants Foster for keeps

Kiely hopes Albion sign stopper permanently Albion goalkeeping coach Dean Kiely hopes Albion can sign Ben Foster on a permanent basis. Foster is currently on a season long loan from neighbours Birmingham City but has impressed between the sticks for the Baggies. Kiely has been  a long-standing admirer of the former England international and hopes the club can agree a deal for the goalkeeper in the summer. “Let me make it perfectly clear, I am Ben’s No 1 fan,” he said. “I would love him to be a West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper for the next three, four, five, six or however many years. “But he’s a Birmingham player, we’ve got him on loan, and his future will be decided by a lot of factors, some of which are out of our control. “In terms of goalkeeping, you only have to have two eyes in your head to see that Ben is a top Premier League player. “I sit there in the dugout every week enjoying watching Ben play and I enjoy working with him immensely Monday to Friday. He’s an absolute joy.” Do you want Albion to sign Foster this summer? Have your say at WBA-MAD's fans' forum at Baggies Banter.
