West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo believes his side's 5-0 hammering of promotion rivals Middlesbrough sends a message to the rest of the league.Goals from Chris Brunt (2), Youssuf Mulumbu, Roman Bednar and Jerome Thomas put Boro to the sword at the Riverside and keep them top of the table."We have put a statement out for the rest of the league," said Di Matteo. "It was certainly one of our best performances so far and obviously we will take confidence from the performance."We played well and we sustained it over the full 90 minutes. We have a very good group of players. Chris Brunt scored a couple of good goals, especially the first one, but it was a good group performance."I have some sympathy for Middlesbrough. They are a good team and I'm sure they'll bounce back. They were just unfortunate to play us."
