The South Korean has prolonged his stay at Old Trafford until 2012 after establishing himself as an integral part of Sir Alex Ferguson's squad.The 28-year-old, who arrived at United from PSV Eindhoven in 2005, has made 127 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 12 goals.His agent claimed a deal had been done during the week and now United have officially confirmed the news that they are keeping the midfielder.So pleasedPark told the club's official website: "I am so pleased to have a new contract."We have achieved great success over the last four years and won many trophies."There was a large degree of scepticism surrounding the signing of Asia's highest-profile player when he first came to United, with some believing Park's acquisition was partly influenced by commercial spin-offs.But the player has established himself as an important figure in United's hat-trick of Premier League title triumphs, while he also featured in May's UEFA Champions League final defeat against Barcelona.Great experience"It is a great experience for me to play at this magnificent football club along with other world famous players," added Park."I am really enjoying my time here and I appreciate all that Sir Alex and the staff have done for me."But I also have to mention the fans too.
