St Ledger could make Middlesbrough debut from bench

SEAN St Ledger could make his Middlesbrough debut from the substitutes' bench in this evening's Championship game with Sheffield Wednesday. Having completed a three-month loan from Preston this morning, St Ledger has been named amongst the Boro replacements at Hillsborough. Boro boss Gareth Southgate has made two changes to the side that started Saturday's 3-1 win over Ipswich. The first was enforced, with Jonathan Grounds replacing the injured Andrew Taylor at left back. But the second was not, with Jeremie Aliadere being rewarded for his brace at the weekend with a starting spot. Leroy Lita drops down to the bench. SHEFF WED (4-4-2): Grant; Spurr, Purse, Beevers, Buxton; Johnson, Potter, Miller, Gray; Varney, Tudgay. Subs: O'Donnell (gk), Hinds, McAllister, Sodje, Esajas, Clarke, Simek. MIDDLESBROUGH (4-4-2): Coyne; McMahon, Wheater, Hines, Grounds; O'Neil, Williams, Arca, Johnson; Aliadiere, Emnes. Subs: Jones (gk), Hoyte, Yeates, Lita, St Ledger, Bennett, Franks.
