Portsmouth V Hull at Fratton Park : Match Preview

Norris still missing for PompeyPortsmouth will still be without David Norris when they host Hull. The midfielder serves the final game of the three-match ban he received for his red card at West Ham three weeks ago. Norris used the enforced break to undergo surgery to clear up a hernia problem and he is also expected to miss Tuesday's trip to Birmingham. Defender Aaron Mokoena will be checked over after missing last week's 3-0 win at Peterborough with a hamstring strain and striker Luke Varney is expected to miss out again due to a knee injury.Boss Michael Appleton is likely to name an unchanged side although there will be a change on the bench after Ryan Williams joined Fulham on deadline day.Hull midfielder Robbie Brady will return to the squad following a head injury.Brady, on loan from Manchester United, was involved in a clash of heads during the FA Cup defeat to Crawley and missed the goalless midweek draw with Doncaster. Manager Nick Barmby, who has no new injury or suspension problems, must decide whether to retain Matty Fryatt and Aaron Mclean up front or recall another Manchester United loanee, striker Josh King, who dropped down to the substitutes' bench against Doncaster after making his first start against Crawley. Midfielder Seyi Olofinjana made his first league appearance for Hull in over a year due to a knee injury when stepping off the bench for the last 30 minutes in midweek and is hoping to feature again as the Tigers bid to retain their top-six status.
