The Tottenham winger was selected ahead of Shaun Wright-Phillips for the World Cup qualifier against Croatia on Wednesday and he repaid Fabio Capello's faith with a dynamic performance.Lennon caused problems with his pace throughout the match and was involved in the first two goals as England cruised to an emphatic 5-1 victory. However, the likes of Wright-Phillips, David Beckham and Theo Walcott, who is currently recovering from injury, will all be competing with Lennon for a place in the final World Cup squad."Of course, that comes with being at international level and playing with the best players," said Lennon.Mixing it"There are so many quality players within the squad and so many not even here. When you have your chance you have to take it."Shauny Wright has played great recently so just to get the nod was brilliant for me."Lennon has been in superb form for Spurs during the early part of the season and he puts the improvement down to greater experience and know-how."I've been trying to mix my game up," he explained. "It is down to experience and looking at how defenders have been trying to mark me out of a game."I've been mixing everything - trying different types of crosses, cutting inside and shooting with my left, going outside. Just mixing it up."
