Arshavin blow for Gunners

Arsenal midfielder Andrey Arshavin looks set to miss the next three games after he aggravated a groin problem while on international duty with Russia. Arshavin was withdrawn during the 2-1 defeat by Manchester United with the problem but played as Russia beat Wales 3-1 at the Millennium Stadium in a World Cup qualifier on Wednesday. Manager Arsene Wenger said: "We have lost Arshavin, who played with Russia and should not have played. He will be out for Saturday, for Wednesday and certainly as well for Wigan. "I took him out at Manchester United because of a groin problem. He did not play in Russia's first game but played against Wales. He should not have played and is injured. You can say a lot about it but it does not do a lot." Captain Cesc Fabregas recovered from a hamstring problem to play for Spain during the international break and so could come back into contention. However, England winger Theo Walcott (back) remains sidelined.
