Porter determined to bounce back

After suffering some niggling injuries towards the end of last season the Rams frontman had hoped a summer break would do the trick.But despite coming through pre-season unscathed a hip problem flared up again and he underwent an operation last month which will keep him out until December."It was demoralising at first, but I've dealt with it now in my own head and I am just keeping myself in good shape for when I do get back," he told Derby's official website."I was down at first, but I knew very quickly that I had to get myself in a good state of mind. I realised I had to be positive and I know I'll be back from this."I'm trying to keep in good shape so I don't have to catch up fitness-wise as much. I know I will be behind in some aspects compared to the rest of the lads, but if I work really hard it won't take me as long to get up to speed."
