Cowden game - second pitch inspection at 11.15

touch and go Cowden v Arbroath - Volunteers required! From the Blue Brazil website at 10.30am:  Today's top of the table clash between Cowdenbeath and Arbroath will go ahead if snow can be cleared from the park ahead of a further pitch inspection at 11.15am (brought forward from 12pm). There was a covering of snow in Cowdenbeath last night but a 9am pitch inspection confirmed that the ground is soft underneath and playable. Volunteers, including the full-time youth players, are currently working to clear the snow and hopes are high that the Irn-Bru 2nd Division 'game of the season' will get the thumbs up if enough helpers come forward to assist. Please come along to Central Park between 10am and 11am with a shovel if you are able to help! The Blue Brazil currently sit top of the league on 31 points, ahead of Arbroath only on goal difference while Stenhousemuir only sit 4 points below. The winner of today's game will be in pole position to claim the Christmas number one spot.
