Baines still harbours England ambitions

Leighton Baines wants another taste of England action with next summer's World Cup finals still his long-term aim.Baines was called into the England squad last season but has yet to make his full debut after winning 16 Under-21 caps. The Everton full-back said: "I've had a taste of the England squad so the World Cup finals are always at the back of your mind. I just have to play well and hope to impress the England coach."I am keen to get back into that. But that will only happen if my own form is good and the team continue to do well."Ashley Cole and Wayne Bridge are probably the two automatic selections and with good reason, because they are two top players."At the moment I have got to get my form up and back to where I want it to be, like the rest of us here. Hopefully if I can get there the other things will take care of themselves."
