The Danish international spent the latter part of last season at Newcastle after joining from German side Schalke. The 29-year-old then shunned offers to remain at the club whilst he considered his options over the summer. However, he agreed terms on a three-year deal on deadline day to make the permanent return to Tyneside. And Lovenkrands is delighted to be back with The Magpies, despite the fact they are in the Championship."The size of the club is there for all to see, and the goals that I have heard from the players and staff to get back into the Premier League were the reasons I came back," said Lovenkrands."Newcastle have a great chance of doing it as well."Newcastle have started really well. Hopefully we can keep that going and get back up as quickly as possible."It's good we have kept hold of so many of the big boys."I wanted to be here again. I made a lot of friends when I was here with the boys and my family settled very easily in the area."
