Taylor offered new deal

Taylor offered new deal. Chris Taylor is considering a new contract offer at Boundary Park. Taylor sustained a hamstring injury in yesterday's goalless draw at Bournemouth but it is not considered as serious. He only lasted 20 minutes before having to leave the field.Paul Dickov said, “Chris felt his hamstring and thankfully it has not gone. It is not a pull or a tear. He felt it tighten and cramp up and he did the right thing. Had he carried on, there was the possibility he might have made it worse and then he would be out for a lot longer.”Taylor's existing deal expires next summer. At 24 years of age he is considered a veteran as he has made 260 first-team appearances since making his debut in 2006.Taylor said, “It is early days, but I have had a brief chat with the gaffer who has told me he wants me to stay which I was delighted to hear. I am thinking things through, but can't rush into a decision as it is an important point of my career. I am happy here, however, and like working with the gaffer. We definitely have something good here and, if we can keep the loan players beyond January, I see no reason why we cannot push for promotion.”
