Hendon saw his side dump Millwall out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy thanks to goals from Jake Hyde and Ismail Yakubu to leave Hendon beaming.
He said: "It's a fantastic result but in the first half I thought Millwall bossed the game and it could have been a lot different.
"But we had a chat at half-time and we came out a lot better and took the game to them and it worked. After we started well and got the goal they had a lot of the ball and flashed crosses across our box but our keeper (Jake Cole) hasn't had to do a lot.
"I'm delighted for the lads who got the goals. Yakubu has been working on set-plays so it's great for us that they are coming to fruition.
"Jake has also given me a decision to make ahead of the game at Northampton. He's always going to get goals and it's a nice selection problem to have."
