Robins chief reveals rejected bids

The final day of the summer window passed on Tuesday with Alex Revell joining Danny Wilson's revolution at the County Ground but no players heading in the opposite direction. Yet Fitton has revealed it was not for the want of trying on behalf of other teams. "It's fair to say it was a pretty busy day on the phone," he told the club's official website. "We received enquiries, and also some firm offers, for members of the squad but we are just not interested in selling. "I have taken a number of calls from clubs asking about the availability of some of our players. The fact there are agents and clubs enquiring about members of the squad is a good sign, but they were given a polite 'no' because this is an important season for Swindon Town - we are trying to build for the future and give Danny a solid platform." Speaking about Revell's addition, Wilson added: "I am delighted to have him with us because he will add strength to the forward line. We feel Alex is just what we want."
