Moore bemoans Mariners casualties

Town have six first-team regulars sidelined less than a month into the new campaign. Goalkeeper Nick Colgan (groin) and forwards Nathan Jarman (foot), Adrian Forbes (knee), Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro (thigh), Peter Bore (hamstring) and Nick Hegarty (ankle) are all currently receiving treatment. "It's been a busy start for me after a good run in the last couple of years. It's unusual to have so many injuries at once and especially to players who would either be in the first team of pushing hard for a place," Moore told the Grimsby Telegraph. "Like the manager says, they are all several weeks rather than slight knocks and it would stretch any club's resources to have so many out at the same time. But hopefully they will all be regaining fitness at roughly the same time so that's the positive if there is one. "Sometimes you get an instance like this when you get injuries in spurts but by mid-September we should start to see players coming back into the picture."
