Owen Hargreaves on brink of Manchester City return

Owen Hargreaves is poised for a return to Manchester City's first team after assistant manager David Platt revealed the midfielder is back in training. The former Manchester United star joined Roberto Mancini's title-chasing side on a free transfer in the summer. In training: Hargreaves running with Tevez last week and taking a break (below) But after scoring on his City debut against Birmingham in the Carling Cup, Hargreaves has played only 13 minutes since as he nurses a calf strain. And Platt believes the international break has come at a good time for the injury-prone midfielder.
