McParland has spent the past few weeks hoping to put together a deal for Ritchie, who impressed on loan at Dagenham & Redbridge last season.The winger has yet to make his first-team debut for Pompey, but was rewarded with a new two-year contract over the summer.Ambitious League Two side County are keen on either a loan or permanent deal for the 19-year-old and McParland hopes his chase bears fruit."I'm hoping to bring a couple of players in by deadline day and if not it will be loan signings," said McParland. "We're chasing Matt Ritchie who is a good little player, but we still want another couple."
